The SCRAP sporty thong is a mid-high rise, sporty thong, with a wide back thong shape
and a cut in the centre back to sit nicely on your derriere.
It has cuts at the front sides to be able to use those small fabric scraps (now you know where
the name came from). The waistband fits below the belly button giving it a nice shape.

NO ELASTIC!
This thong has no elastics, allowing the waistband and leg openings to adjust on their own,
depending on the elasticity of the fabric, giving to your body the most comfortable feeling
of literally wearing nothing.

This thong truly feels like a second skin.

This thong is the perfect pattern to get rid of those fabric scraps from old projects.

Any piece of knit fabrics with a high percentage of elasticity (30%), and with good return
will give a good result. Examples: Jersey Lycra, rib, microfiber, Lycra.

Test your fabric by pulling it opposite sides with both hands for a few seconds.
If the fabric returns to its natural shape the elasticity is good. If the fabric loses its natural
shape and doesn’t return, it would happen the same with your thong after wearing
it for a few minutes, then it is not good.

I have tested the pattern in jersey lycra (picture in mustard and green) and thin rib (picture
in coloured stripes) and they have worked perfectly. I will be making one in lycra to use as a
bikini bottom.

This pattern is not made for woven fabrics.

Make sure your printer is set to print at 100% with scaling turned off to print the pattern. Print page 1 and measure the 5cm x 5cm
or 1.97”x 197” square to make sure your pattern is printing at the correct size. This step is very important.
If the scaling is off your pattern will be distort. If the test squares are not measuring correctly, re-adjust your
printer and test again until it is correct. Once your square measures correctly, print the rest of the pattern.
You will need a PDF viewer to print this pattern. I recommend Adobe Reader to be able to make use of the size
layers from the PDF.
